contributor, Autumn Adeigbo started a colorful, women-focused, fashion brand with the vision of positively impacting the lives of women in Africa and the United States.
Autumn became inspired to become a fashion designer by watching her Nigerian
mother sew the clothes she wore as a little girl. Because of her mother, Autumn was voted “Best Dressed” in the 4th grade.
After attending Parsons, she worked her way up from intern to associate working with some of the best A-List fashion stylists in the world. She launched a collection of 7 African inspired dresses while hostessing at NYC hot spots and pitching her collection to magazine editors as she sat them at their tables to dine.
After being named "Fashion's Next by Essence magazine,"One To Watch" by Marie Claire and "All Eyes On" by Uptown magazine, Autumn's collection went on to be featured in over 50 publications including Vogue, EBONY, ESSENCE, Glamour, and Nylon and seen on MTV, BET, VH1 and the Oprah Winfrey Network.
In 2015, Autumn began sharing her entrepreneurial journey via a bi-weekly column
for Forbes. She is also a winner of the New York Public Library and Citibank annual business plan competition, as well as a Global Good Fund fellow.
Autumn has been a featured speaker at The World Bank, Capital One, The New York Public Library and The Fashion Institute of Technology. She sits on Parsons School of Design Reunion Committee.
Autumn is a graduate of Spelman College and Parsons School of Design. Before
starting her collection she was an A-list celebrity fashion stylist associate and freelance fashion assistant at W magazine.
She designs clothing for women who love to stand out from the crowd, who make educated purchases with compassion and embody sophistication of the heart.
